Christmas in July? July 14 2014

Christmas in July? Yes, even with the hot July weather, I've been thinking, designing and creating new products for the holidays. It's actually a nice diversion from summer to start planning for the holidays. I brought out my vintage ribbons, metallic paints and wood from their storage shelves and put them front and center on my work table to start the inspiration process. 

I see more and brighter colors for the holidays, with touches of metallics. I'm very visual, so I need to play with mixing paint colors and actually combine different bright and pastel colors to evaluate contrasting pairings and combination options. I've also decided to expand my ornaments product line with a new tree design. 

Here's a sneak peak of a few of my prototypes. More images of the new products to come shortly and I'll begin pre-ordering many of these products in the early fall.
